I also took an image of the moon and planets with my Panasonic compact, but it did not come out well because the exposure was too dark. The moon and Venus came out O.K. but that is all that was seen. Jan

I do like your image David. There does seem to be some sort of haze above the sunset. I guess it probably is the effects of the volcanic ash. It seems likely it will go on for some time. Jan
