Location

Practical Evenings - 1st Thursday of the month and Observing sessions - Woodrow High House

These are held at Woodrow High House just off the A404 between Amersham and High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire.
If coming from London, exit the M40 at junction 2 and follow signposts to Beaconsfield and Amersham. Get onto the A355 at Beaconsfield and follow until you come down a steep hill into Amersham. Turn left at roundabout onto the A404. Follow the A404 past the Crematorium and a long right hand bend. Just as you pass underneath electricity pylons look for a signpost to Woodrow. Turn right into Cherry Lane. Woodrow House is 250 metres down on your left.
If coming from High Wycombe direction, leave the town centre and head for the Amersham Hill. Go through Hazlemere on the A404. Follow the A404 past the turning for Penn and Holmer Green. Look for the signposts to Woodrow on your left.
Once inside the grounds, follow the length of the driveway. You may notice our observatory on your left. When the road splits, follow to the right and find a parking space. Practical evenings are held in the Frankie Vaughan Studio which is to the left and round behind the main house (it is not visible from the car park).

Monthly meetings  - 3rd Wednesday of month at Holmer Green Senior School

Our main monthly meetings are now held at the Holmer Green Senior School, staring at 8pm.

There are two entrances to the school - both situated in Parish Piece - to reach our meetings enter by the Staff entrance - the one on the left when you are facing the school. (Lower picture)

Drive along the internal road, past several buildings, until you reach the car park at the end, just before the sports field. We meet in the last building on the right and the entrance can be found by walking along the path between the two buildings. Enter the door on your left - at the end of the path (Upper picture)

Holmer Green can be reached from the A404 and is between Hazlemere and Woodrow.
